This game looks like it's going to be pretty damn cool:

This version of Tetris will feature a classic Nintendo theme, paying homage to past Nintendo franchises such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Metroid in the game's worlds. The DS version will support a whopping ten players locally, supporting single cartridge multiplayer for those nine other non-cartridge DS owners.

The real kicker is that Tetris DS will fully support the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service. Two player and Four player battles are possible online via the free service, and the game will record and display online rankings earned during the battles. It's not the first time the game's gone online (Tetris Worlds for the Xbox and even the unofficial Netris for the PC have had the ability for years), but it shows that Nintendo's dedicated to the Wi-Fi service for 2006 to get what's considered the most popular puzzle game working on it.

I hope they don't fuck up the gameplay like Tetris Worlds (Hey, lets have the bricks control like a tank and have it CLEAR OFF everytime you clear a level, that's a GREAT fucking idea)

And it better have some decent music too.

I like the idea of the franchise modes, but I'm a bit disappointed with the presentation, based on the screens. It looks really messy. I was kinda hoping for a tetris game with the same slick presentation value as lumines was given. Damn that game is addicting.

Blocks seem ugly... Need to be sexier... But OMG seriously, that is absolutely hawt... Tetris with classic Nintendo themes... Match made in heaven. I mean come on, it's Tetris... I spent an entire day once glued to a frickin' pocket version that came on a keychain, of course I'll play it.

Why didnt they make Meteos enable WiFi? That game pwned big time. I also thought it was better than Tetris, but thats my opinion.
