My first problem is with Level one, a dungeon. I tried to change the color of the dungeon to just orange using a color set fix on every panel, but when I play, it is a goldenrod color with the doors a darker shade of gold. Also, when I get to the final room (with the triforce), which I had an aqua blue, and the room is instead that darker shade that the doors are. Also in that room, I grab the triforce, and immediately the zap effects kick in, but only on the door and a single tile not far from the door.

My second problem is also with level one. As soon as I enter, Link starts marching down on his own. I had to put his start in the dungeon half-way into the room so he wouldn't automatically walk out.

My third problem is with level 3, also a dungeon. I set the tile warp to exactly where the correct room in level 3 is, but when I test it it goes to the correct panel -- on the 1st overworld. I checked the Dmap set, and it is exactly how it should be to go there, I just can't get to where I want to go to test it. The pics will be in my next post.

I'm kinda new to this myself, and I'm sorry that I can't help you with problems 1 or 3, but #2 I think I can...

I had the same problem when I did my first dungeon. When you put the green square on the dungeon map, make sure it's at the very bottom of the screen. You know how across the bottom there is what looks like a black mesh line across it (half of the tile on the bottom row are covered by this mesh-looking line)? The green square needs to be in that...makeing sure the very bottom edge of the green square is touching the very bottom of the screen you are working on. ^_^ Hope that helps (it worked for me ^_~)

I had the same problem that chii had, but Link automatically got stuck in rock when he went downstairs .

And in problem #1, are you sure that you're changing the color in the DMap menu and not using only the key [F4]?

And I really need images, so I can help you. ;)

Well, I just got the pictures up (dial-up sucks), although the triforce-flashy thing and the vaccum-suck thing I can't really capture. But here they are.

Level 3 Entrance bug:

Ok, I don't know how to take pictures of menu options, if someone could help, I would appreciate that.

BUT. The tile-warp settings are set to go to level 3, but they don't, they go to the same coordinates on the overworld.
Check here to see the transfer spot (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/alfinchkid/ZC%20Bugs/lvl3bug.jpg)

And even the colors get messed up there!
This is how it looks normally and in editor. (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/alfinchkid/ZC%20Bugs/panel74.jpg)

Level 1 door bug:

This is how the room is supposed to look. (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/alfinchkid/ZC%20Bugs/lvl1doors.jpg) This is how the doors look. (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/alfinchkid/ZC%20Bugs/lvl1roombug.jpg)

Level 1 Triforce bug:

Normally, the triforce room looks like this. (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/alfinchkid/ZC%20Bugs/lvl1triroom.jpg)
This is how it looks while testing (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/alfinchkid/ZC%20Bugs/lvltriroombug.jpg)

If you notice, it is the same color as the faulty doors.

You must use the color set that the doors have (dark orange) or you'll have to mess up with the door's combos, and to set up the CSets you must use the DMap menu, not only the [F4] key to set the CSets, that may be your problem. Hope it helps :) .

Yeah, it did help. Thanks a lot. I'll go try it right now. But I still need help on the level 3 thing. Also, another thing just came up. I don't know what I did, but there is one panel on one of my overworlds that has screwed up color. This time I'll post the links with the problem ;)

i think your having a serious problem with using pallettes, almost all of your problems are pallete-related.

first of all, in c-dawgs tutorial, it says to use c-set fix. dont use that useless feature because it makes problems sometimes. Problems liek your having.

Also, the same dmap cant have more than 1 color, so that if you have 1 room blue (by using the number 2 on NES tileset) and set the dmaps color to blue, you cant just hit on your keyboard on another screen (in NES tileset to make it pale geeen) itll still be blue becasue the dmap info is more important, the numeric keypad is only to see what pallette your usng actually looks decent before testing it.

You migt also have issues with the + and - keys, make sure you use the right one. + scrolls the cset up and - scrolls it backwards, try making the whole screen 1 whole cset.

hope that helped
