I know this is a really moronic question that probably every newbie knows, but I cant view the tutuorilas for some reason, so...
How do I use tiles besides the really bad, primitive original.

Download Alphadawgs tutorial. (http://members.toast.net/mfreedom/zqtutorial.zip)

Also to use other tilesets go to http://www.purezc.com and look at the various tilesets. Download one and how you use it is based on different file types. Typically it'll be in Quest (.qst) format in which you just open it up. Delete the screens and build you're own.

BTW 1.92 tilesets work with 2.10 and 2.11b6

Ok, I solved that. Now just two more questions.
If Ive got say, four tiles that make up a tree, and they have a black BG. How do I make that transparent?
Also, can I assign a different graphic to old men, ladys, people you find in caves?
