What does the true arrow rule do?

Ideally it gives Link an arrow counter, so he doesn't have to spend rupees to shoot them.

and the arrow counter goes by the quivers?

Yes, but there is also a new room type "More Arrows" that lets you increase your max arrows by 10.

Yay! and thanks!
How many arrows does each quiver (size) hold?

Yeah, how many arrows does each quiver hold?

How many bombs does each bomb bag hold?

Why are there bomb bags & super bomb bags in the initial data menu when there are only bomb bags available as items? Whats the point of the super bomb bags?

Why is there a 'bomb' item and then bomb ammunition items? Since we have the latter, why can't we get rid of the 'bomb' item? (Wouldn't that be the same as the ammunition (4) item?)

Actually, I don't think bomb bags work yet. I'll have to double-check.

The quivers (and bomb bags if/when they work) hold 30, 60, and 99 arrow/bombs respectively.

As for why there is a bomb item and a bomb amunition item is that the bomb item is what will show in the subscreen and the bomb ammunition item is what Link can get to increase his bombs. That way, you can have a "Bomb Ammunition (4)" item with the number "4" on it and it won't show the 4 on the subscreen since it's a different item. I'm still trying to reconcile bombs and bomb ammunition, though, so don't worry about it too much at this point.

Super bomb bags aren't implemented yet, either.

Edit: Corrected "60, 60, and 99" to "30, 60, and 99".

Intriguing. I sense quite a few conflicts here. o_o'

Arrows are 60/60/99? Why not 30/60/99? o_o' Seems interesting. (Unless you had meant that.)

Additionally, the "Current / Max" arrows area in the cheat console ... ... what impact do the arrow quivers have on that and vice versa? O_o

Yes, I meant 30/60/99. I'll correct that now.

And the quivers/bags only affect the max values once, when you pick one of them up (just like with the wallets). So, you can get a small quiver, then cheat to set the max arrows to 67 if you wish. Getting the medium quiver then would leave the max arrows alone since it's already above 60. Getting the large quiver would set the max arrows to 99. Then, you could cheat to set the max arrows down to 17 if you want.

And, no, cheating to set your max arrows to 30 won't automatically give you the small quiver. However, cheating to get the small quiver will set the max arrows to 30. Cheating to remove the small quiver won't unset your max arrows (I guess I could change this, though, if people wanted, though I'm not sure why).

ok, but when i tried the quivers they didn't work (no arrow count), btw i had the revision 2 subscreen...

ShadowTiger

Well, my guess is that the quivers only show up on the ALTTP style subscreen, because it's the only one built for them to actually show up.

Of course, just because they're not visible on the subscreen doesn't mean they're not there. =/ Do you have the Bow AND the Arrow Item?

the z

Are you setting it in your own quest or the subscreen.qst that DN released?

the z
12-27-2005, 09:24 PM

Freedom

The Z3 Subscreen isn't set up right in 211test.qst.

Yeah, I think everything is like, hard-coded into very specific locations into the quest at the moment, so they have to be in the right tile spots, or else they won't show right. Don't worry, that'll change shortly. ;) This current quest was just to see if this whole endeavor was possible.

Thanksfully, it appears to be quite possible indeed. :p
