I dunno...
You dunno...

I can make some guesses ...

There's no money in it (See my post in Suggestions)
None of the developers use Linux
None of the developers know how to create programs without IDE x

I don't think that the people actually working on the game have provided any reliable information regarding a Linux version. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Dear ZC programmer:
I am new here. "The Legend of Zelda" was one of my favorite games. Thank you for creating a tribute to this game. Linux is my favorite Operating System. I see posts that go back a few years mentioning a Linux version, but there still isn't one. I know you don't have an answer for me.

I'll offer a possible solution:
Post a job for talented volunteers to work on the Linux port. It can be just like a real job, including submission of Resume/CV and NDA, but there will be no money involved.

Allow me to be your first volunteer:
I know C/C++. I know my way around structures, pointers, references, OO programming concepts, etc. I am an American, over the age of 18, and legally bound by any NDA I sign.

Thank you.

- No money is made from Zelda Classic
- The developers do use Linux and are familiar with it
- ZC uses the Allegro game programming libraries, and is therefore portable - I played both the Linux and Mac alphas for ZC when I was a beta tester.

Be patient. You'll see a Linux version eventually.
