How can I improve these snapshots of KKAII?

The candle smoke moves, but the lava smoke does not.

the only thing i can think of is to put more detail into the walls (perhaps windows, pillars, statues, or even texture instead of straight lines) but other than that, they are awsome snapshots, and even the detail is not that big of a deal.

I was thinking that too, but I kind of liked the smooth walls, since the story behind the dungeans made them straight, but possibly the statue part would be great. Besides for the texture, I am a bad designer anyway, as shown by the rating of KKA I. By the way, could you please give me some feedback on the torches?

if smooth walls are a part of the game, they are just fine. I can think of nothing else to improve them on those screens. (I really liked your smoke tiles)

Well, they are simple to make, if you would like to know how, tell me here (i dont use pm or email, since i want everyone to be able to see what others say, since this site is seems to be a "bad word" hangout.

are they any different from standard tiles and animation?

To make the torch:

1) make a a torch bottom combo

2)create layer 4 and put a torch top on it

3)create layer 6 and put a fire combo on it

4) create layer 5, make it transluscent and put smoke on it, the way i made the smoke was it started in the fire and went up another tile while moving in 3 frames at about animation speed 7.

the screenshot is fine, only the blocks in which the traps are placed doesn't look very good

Those are not traps, they are cannons for shooting fire.
