In the Comprehensive GameBoy tileset, some of the sprites seem similar as in New 1st, but they are coloured quite differently. Do you know if that is supposed to be that way? Has the artist of New 1st done them "better" by purpose?

The comprehensive Gameboy tileset was designed from its inception to replicate the graphics of Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons, and Oracle of Ages, all for the Gameboy Color. All graphics and palettes are directly taken from these games. So the limited color displayed by the Gameboy Color handheld is preserved, same with the actual graphics themselves.

New 1st's tileset is a derivative of graphics from various zelda games, with a customized palette to enhance their appearance in ZC. It borrows its tiles from not just the Gameboy zelda games, but also Link's Awakening. Individual tiles will also be touched up slightly to conform to the new palette.

Okay. But another question: In the Oracle of Hyrule, which is using the tileset, the Dodongo appears completely black. Is that also supposed to be? (It might also be that my ZC version is too low.)
