help me on layers

how do you do layers? i cant figure it out :mad:

Layers 1 & 2: Below Link.

Layers 3 & 4: Above Link, but under flying enemies (Peahats, for example).

Layers 5 & 6: Above Link AND fliers.

You need a combo that is transparent (the color in the tile editor with the x in it). Make a screen full of those transparent tiles. Put whatever you'd like on this screen that you want above or below Link.

On the regular screen that you want the layer to be placed on, go to Data -> Layers. For any layer, select the Dmap and screen the nearly-all-transparent screen is. Your layer will now appear on this screen.
