I have a question!

Why can't we use a "thread search"? Whenever I type a specific thread title in a search box in this forum and click search, it gives me a message that states I don't have enough privileges to use this feature? I know I am logged in! Especially when I am looking for a thread that I am suggesting for Zelda Classic to see if it's been suggested before. It's way much better than spending hours digging and digging through the boards to find a specific thread! I see no logic in why standard members don't have enough rights to use the search feature.

Only certain groups of people, such as moderators and ZC Beta Testers, have this priviledge. From what I understand, the search function of the forums is particularly hard on the servers, so limiting the searches allows the whole forum to operate faster.

You gotta either rock enough to be special and get a better position, or cool enough to sign up for platinum membership. That's about it. You have 40 posts, why does it matter?

Searching is a big strain on the database as well as our bandwidth.
