I am new to this, but would someone please tell me what I am doing wrong when I try to load this game. I keep getting the warning, Sorry for the inconvinance, but windows must close. :(

if you are using Windows XP, make sure you are a computer administrator. ZC apparently needs access to the C drive, and normal users cannot access/modify files on C:\

I'm not 100% sure of the cause, but I do know you need to be an admin

Or, as I do, start->run, type "subst x: path-to-zelda-folder" then open your new x: drive from explorer and start from there. The reason is that allegro tries to make a temp file in the root directory of whatever drive you're running on. With my trick it lands in the root of your x: drive which is - your zelda folder. Like this it runs perfectly on a normal user account for me.

I am a limited account, and I can change/modify like an admin. I will try it on an admin account though...

You probably have to get the supported files for Zelda Classic and I hope it helps.
