I believe it means "frappuccino", which is a type of frozen coffee.

Yes, I grew up near Seattle...land of coffee. Although I don't drink coffee, I once worked as a barristo.

I' not a coffee person either...

And what ever happened to using whole words?

And what ever happened to using whole words?

Oh my god. I could rant about this for pages and pages. I hate when people use abbreviations and acronyms in speech. I hate when I ask a computer question and the answer is something like:

"Oh that's easy, just set your SMKY to your SMTP and you AOTC to your GPP and add in a bla bla bla"

and then when people are talking about video games it's "WOW, DAoC, GTA, ABC, DEFG, LMNOP"

God people just use English! I don't want to read anyone's fucking mind.

But things like "frappe" is the worst. Jargon is for idiots, plain and symbol. Jargon is something that groups of stupid people invent to alien people outside of their group to help make themsevles feel more interesting and intelligent. I try to avoid using jargon whenever possible because it is the most elitist, idiotic invention I am currently angry at.

IMMSGDAIDKHTEI!*

. A frapp['e] mixture or beverage, as a water ice, variously flavored, frozen soft, and served in glasses.

In other words, a soft frozen beverage. Could be a soft frozen coffee or latte, but doesn't have to be. It could also be a milkshake or shaved ice with liqueur. The assumption that the word Frappuccino came from the word frappe would be a good assumption.

So no, it isn't short for anything. It is its own word.

PS: There really is no reason not to know what a word means. If you don't know, look it up. It's easy.

Ah, I literally thought she meant "frap", which is a term Washingtonians use to mean Frappuccinos. I forgot about Frappes. (with an accent mark). Perhaps if I had seen an accent mark I would have caught the reference.

I used to make Frappes when I was a barristo in high school.

Do you remember when/if you took square dancing in school?
I, for some bizzar reason, had to do it in 7th grade. I still haven't figured out the point.

I think the inclusionof Square Dancing in early curriculum is a subliminal attempt to instill the communist principles of lining up in a group, blindly following instructions, and acting like an idiot without quesitoning it.

I think a vast majority of public education is designed to produce automatons.
