I can not believe how hard it is to find a costume for an Imperial Officer from Star Wars. Every thing I see is either Darth Vader/Anakin or some other Jedi robe shit. You can find a set of Stormtrooper armor on eBay for about a grand, but not a scrap of a simple Imperial officer's uniform.

This isn't a spoiler, just a little side rant:

There is nothing on patterns either. I wanna have this ready by Halloween. From pictures and descriptions of of various sites I think I can figure it out mostly. I could get a tailor to do it maybe, but I don't know, it's cheaper to make it myself. The boots are gonna be tough. I don't think theres any way I can get them without just buying them new. Other than that, and the funny shaped pants, the jacket is the only hard part.

So can anyone offer any input here? I'll take any help I can get on this.

Just go as a Ninja Turtle.
It's cheaper and less work.

And much more awesome.

Only if you go as donatello though. He was the most awesome one.

Well, first off. That would be an awesome costume SixTen. Good luck with it. And make sure you post a picture of yourself.

What I wanted to do this year was dress as Darth Vader and my friend dress as Luke and go into crowded ares where little kids were tricker-treating and start having a masive lightsaber fight.

And last year I was going to dress up as the "Listerine Guy" from the commercial and my friend was going to be the yellow toothbrush. But then I had a wardrobe malfunction.

I always thought Donatello was the most worthless. Splinter could kick all their asses in a hearbeat.

BTW, TMNT III sucked. Especially after SOTO....

I agree with you, about the Sith Lords, SixTen

No patterns, but hopefully this page will help: The Force.Net's Imperial Military Uniforms (http://www.theforce.net/swtc/insignia/uniforms.html). Some people have far too much time.

EDIT: One Google search later... Imperial Officer's Uniforms (http://www.geocities.com/tkvanb/imperialcostumepageone.html), SWTroopers.Com Imperial Costumes (http://www.swtroopers.com/imp_costumes_ofc.htm), Imperial Uniform Information Center (http://www.imperialinfo.com/) and The Star Wars Wiki page on Rank Insignias of the Galactic Empire (http://starwars.wikicities.com/wiki/Rank_Insignia_of_the_Galactic_Empire). I'm not called Darth Marsden for nothing. Hope they help as well.

Making any kind of suits is difficult. Ask Anita to help you with fabric and such; she'd love to. You probably could pay a visit to JoAnn fabrics by your house and see if they have anything of the same kind of appearance that could be adapted, again, Anita would be good to take along. Goodle for "imperial officer" and you'll find some decent hits on the first page.

Donatelo and Michelangelo were definitely the best, because they were the only ones that could actually use their weapons against the enemies in the cartoon series.

Definitely go as a ninja turtle.

Well I would be hard pressed to find a nice looking turtle shell.

While the turtles were great, none could match the sheer awesomeness of Shredder.

While Shredder may be a bit harder to make as a costume, it would be well worth it. Or you could squeeze into one of those crappy ones meant for children..
