With regular doors, unlocking one or bombing a wall, will make the door or wall trigger on the screen ajacent to it. This doesn't work with lock blocks or secret combos. My idea is to have 12 new combos, 4 locked doors, 4 boss doors, and 4 bombable walls that act just like doors, making the door or wall trigger on the screen on the other side. This will make doors all but obsolete, and will allow for greater usage of doors in Gameboy Zelda games.

Shutters are a bit harder to do since they are specialized. One idea could be shutter combos that when you scroll into one from another screen, they won't appear hindering your progress.

That reminds me, with the addition of new combos, maybe it would be useful to have extra options, sort of like the extra c-sets for current combos. This extra field could keep track of extra data like what it takes to unlock a door. Think for a sec, you could have a locked combo, and you could choose which 5 of the lock flags to trigger, and what key you need to open it. It could be applied to other things, just need some imagination.
