Rockstar pokes fun at Jack Thompson (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=60924) for getting his panties in a knot about the hot coffee mod.

Check out this website (http://www.citizensunitednegatingtechnology.org) for Citizens United Negating Technology that Rockstar put up.

hahahaha I laughed at this.

Plus, notice in the article how Jack Thomson keeps referring to himself in the third person? Beldaran thinks people who constantly refer to themseves in the 3rd person are CUNTFLAPS (http://games.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=162491&cid=13579710)

lol

Funny, but someone still needs to just shoot that useless piece of shit.

I'm still curious about this "hot coffe" thing. I've never played GTA, so either this is a very obscure refrence, or there's a button combination to make the driver spill hot coffee in his lap, then start banging the woman in the passenger seat

and why go after videogames? movies make billions of dollars selling more of the same stuff, so why not try to shut them down? I mean, there's more sex in James Bond, movies that pretty much anyone can see, and he's bitching about games that are clearly marked for players over eighteen that can't be bought by minors (from what I know)

For that matter, the entire porn industry. Porn: blatant, hardcore visceral recorded sex acts that are for sale in public businesses. Why are video games a target?

exactly. Mr. Thompson is complaining about 'Elmo's Sex-Ed Adventure', while somewhere, some woman is being filmed while paying for her cable the easy way. makes you wonder how he lived past thirty

Being a media whore. If nobody paid attention to him he would probably self destruct.

Hehe. Great site. Reminds me of the numberous websites set up to promote films, or those created for Doctor Who (http://www.whoisdoctorwho.com).

Jack Thompson is a twat who is obsessed with getting his name in the news. He deserves all the flaming he gets, if not more.

"Hot Coffee" was a fan-made patch released for the PC version of San Andreas that unlocked a feature that Rockstar intended to go undiscovered. Your girlfriend would invite you in for some coffee(hence the name), and then there would be a minigame where you'd have sex. Although Rockstar originally claimed that this was a mod and not part of the original game, the minigame was alter found to be unlockable via Action Replay for the PS2 version. Since you could be able to play the character having sex, the game now qualified for an AO rating.
Hence, Thompson's panties being caught in a bunch.

I may get told off for doing this (and I fully expect to), but THIS (http://files.gtanet.com/gtasa/videos/hotcoffee.wmv) is what is unlocked. It replaces the old 'hot coffee' scenes, where basically the camera stayed outside the girlfriend's house or whatever but bounced around a bit while you heard some action going on. It was all very silly, but it worked.

I've never tried the Hot Coffee mod, and I don't want to. People like Jack Thompson, however, are getting in a big twizz to stomp this sort of 'harmful' behavior out. Which puzzles me somewhat, since you have to be 18 over here (remember I'm in the UK, people) to get the game in the first place, which if I recall correctly was the same age you had to be in order to legally purchase Leisure Suit Larry (which I also own. Don't look at me like that. I haven't once gotten turned on while playing it). So what's the big deal? Then Hilary (is that one L or two? Ah, who cares) realised this would be a fantastic issue to use to get adults on her side for when she goes for president (which she WILL).

What does this mean for the average gamers like you and me? It means we have to order our 'adult' games online rather then buy them in shops. But I suspect we do that anyway, so hey.
