This google map will show you precisely where you will end up if you dug a hole straight through the earth to the other side. From where I live I would end up in the Indian Ocean, a few hundred miles southeast of Africa. How about you?

Make sure you're reading that right; unless you're in east Asia, that's not where it should be. For me, it seems to jump there whenever I click "Dig here!" but it's nowhere near the marked endpoint.

Very interesting device. o.o' I was sort of hoping it would dig to the other side of the planet, by which I mean the stereotypical America <--> China idea, but this is interesting too. :shrug: I'm somewhat in Wester South America, I suppose. A bit north of where MrCow ended up.

Just as I had believed previously, I would end up SE of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean.

According to this map, in order to end up in China, you'd have to start in Argentina or somewhere nearby. Although, if you ignore the North/South aspect of this, Argentina is about as much East/West as the east coast of the US, which could explain where this saying came from.

I end up in the water, south of africa.. Closer to antarctica. To the people ending up in argentina and/or chile.. Where are you in the world? The only way to hit that area is if you are in asia. :\

edit: Anyone in the continental US is going to land in the indian ocean somewheres. Hawaii lands west of africa in the atlantic.
