Could I, let's say, use version 1.92 b183 to make part of a quest, then download and use version 2.10 to make the rest of the same quest, or would you guys not suggest that?

I don't know much bout ZQ but should you be able to make the entire quest in 2.10 ? It should contain all the possibility that you have in 1.92 b183. unless I'm wrong ? :)

You can upgrade your 183 quest to the 2.10, but once you do you can't put it back in the 183.

I've done a significant part of the quest already in version 1.92 b183. I've done the first five major dungeons (those with Triforce pieces), two minigames, a few minidungeons and parts of two overworlds, so I'd hate to have to redo everything. Plus I have a few custom tiles.

Can't you try to open your quest in 2.10 ? Should work

You don't have to re-do anything, just get 2.10 and ope nthe quest in 2.10 then change something in the quest, save it, and it becomes a 2.10 version quest.

One more question--How is version 2.10 of ZQuest different from 1.92?
