Honestly, I don't blame Microsoft. If all my good employees were leaving for a better company you would bet I would be flipping the fuck out.

Google is one of the biggest threats to Microsoft at the moment, believe it or not. Over the past year or so they have courted several of MS's employees away from them. In the mean time, they are building a huge information network over which they have complete authority and answer to no one. The end user signs lots of EULAs to use all of Google's services and frankly MS is upset because they'd LOVE to be able to keep your personally identifiable data AND get worshipped by nerds at the same time.

Instead, Google is nice because hey, their motto is "Do no evil." How can you NOT trust someone like that?

I understand Google is making a lot of money, and hiring some smart people, but the only service I use from them is the search engine (and froogle - the search engine for onlne stores)
