If you have a reasonably fast connection, I urge you to watch as many of these as you can. If you are even thinking of playing DDR at any point in your life, you'll want to watch these to see how the pros do it. I'm talking best of the best of the best here.

The Link To The Collection (http://www.ddrfreak.com/videos.php)

My personal favorites are Phrekwenci's "Drifting Away" .AVI file - 1st place (http://videos.ddrfreak.com/SW/Phrekwenci-Drifting%20Away-1st%20Place.avi) file, (Watch that. He's ungodly.) followed by HyperBroken and Nao's "Butterfly" performance (http://videos.ddrfreak.com/Tournorochi2k1-2-17-01/camera2-v00j00/HyperBroken,Nao-Butterfly.wmv). HyperBroken moves like he's suspended from strings in the air. God. Then, you'll definitely want to check out the amazing DDR dance style of J-DOGG while he does his best at "AM-3P" on Maniac Mode. (http://videos.ddrfreak.com/Santa-Monica-Pier-6-3-00/J_Dogg_-_AM-3P_Maniac.mpeg) It's a sight to see. Believe me. ;) Then, you can check out who I think is Phrekwenci once more, doing a rather odd performance of "Era nostal mix" (http://videos.ddrfreak.com/SW/Unknown-Era.avi). DO check these out. ;)

Also, take a look at J-DOGG's other works:

Trick Double (http://videos.ddrfreak.com/Metreon-8-26-00/J_Dogg_-_AM-3P_-_Trick_Double.mpg) and Trick Shuffle (http://videos.ddrfreak.com/Metreon-8-26-00/J_Dogg_-_AM-3P_-_Trick_Shuffle.mpg).

In that latter one, you actually HEAR people moaning "Oh my god!!!" due to his immense talent. Seriously, check it out. ;) It's also "small," (4.7 MB) so watch those two.

They must have leech protection because all those links just open the www.ddrfreak.com main page. If you copy the link URLs and paste them into a new browser window the videos will load though. :)

I only wanted to see someone doing max 300 because I didn't believe it was possible. The only video of it shows the screen, not the player. LAME.

Otherwise, it's just people who have played the game way too much.

I know; it takes some serious practice to get this good. Take HyperBroken for example. Notice how his feet move. They seem to be somewhat free from the effects of gravity and motion. O_o' The key word here, of course, is "seem." Enough practice will definitely earn you that ability. (Plus, he teaches Tae Kwon Do, so... ... That probably helped him a little. ;) )

That J-DOGG though, -HE- has all the talent. All three videos that I've linked to up there refer to him doing the same song on different variations. Look at how well he does. His legs become a blur as he moonwalks across the dance platform hitting every pad perfectly. That kind of ability can even surpass the benefits of sufficient practice. :p It's simply ungodly talent. (He also admins for DDR Freak.)

Doesn't this belong in the VG Forum?

Oh, and DDR rocks. I'm good, but I can't touch those ridiculous people. I can't PA for crap ;_;

this is so funny haha

Okay, first off, DDR Freak is recognized as the pit of stupidity on music game forums. It's so amazing how stupid people are there. They even got a visit from SA's Weekend Web. >_>

Second, if you think those people are good, you must not met half of the "pros" that play dancing games. So many people have already mastered DDR. They all moved to either In The Groove (http://www.itgfreak.com) or Pump It Up (http://www.piugame.com/usa/exceed2/new.html). Those games can be extremely hard in the higher levels.

Dear sweet lord, look at them go! It's like they've got Duracell batteries in them or something! Seriously, that is some extreme dancing.

On a similar note, has anyone seen the music video (I can remember neither the name of the artist or the song) which has three pairs of Japanese girls dancing on DDR machines in an Olympic-style manner?

I have videos of people doing Max 300 and getting AAA. It's by a bunch of people called the A team I think it was.... I'll have to find that site again.

Though, personally, I'd rather meet J-DOGG. That dude can fly. ... Metaphorically of course, ... across the dance pad. He claims to not have to lift his feet to step on the pad across from him. Damn impressive. I wonder how long he's practiced for.
