What's the deal?(Help needed)

So in the Zelda Classic game where you go in the dungeon right away, how the heck are you supposed to beat it? You have exactly 2 chances to beat it. The reason being is that those 3 Dodongos ALWAYS reappear when you leave the dungeon and with there being only 16 bombs, you can only beat all 3 twice before you're screwed. So what the heck are you supposed to do?

If you lay the bomb so that it goes off very close to a Dodongo(without the Dodongo eating it mind you), then the Dodongo will be stunned temporarily. During this time, it will be vulnerable to the sword, which kills it instantly.

The advantage of this is that only one bomb is required per Dodongo, and, if killed with a sword, Dodongo's will drop bombs, thus allowing a player to repeat the room infinitely if he/she so chooses.
