Question About Passwords.....

Hey guys,

I am new to this forum and pretty much new to Zelda Classic. I think that it is incredible that something from my childhood could be recreated for future generations!

My Question:

This may seem stupid, but when I try to load the games, it asks for a password. How do I obtain this passwords? Do I talk to the creators of the games? Hopefully you all don't laugh at me too hard :laughing: ... Help? :confuse2:

I believe you're trying to open these quests in ZQuest rather than the Zelda Classic program. ZQuest allows you to create your own Zelda-style games, while Zelda Classic lets you play them. Register a new name through Zelda Classic, and load the file from there in order to play it. If you need instructions, they can be found in this thread:

Most people password their quests so they can't be opened in ZQuest. This usually prevents people from messing around with the actual quest, or ripping tiles that the quest creator doesn't want to give to the public.
