Fortunately, I'm in the college's library, where the wireless signal is REALLY strong. It'll take about a minute to d/l, I'll give a review later tonight.

Well, I'm assuming there's no Grandpa yet? If so, it seems like you have a good system in. I like Sonic's attack animation, although the presence of Magic and a Fire spell seems out of place. I read that you were going to try some Chaos Emerald system, and that's good. Draw magic off of that somehow, or at least have an explanation at the beginning. I do like the Chao=Save point, however you might want to set an event that forces the player to talk to the first Chao in order to set the tutorial properly- I was able to walk right past him, and then had no idea how to save.
