The zip file includes all of the sound files INCLUDING the sfx.dat, so you should rename yours or move it to another folder so it doesn't get written over.

Not very many quest authors make walkthroughs for their quests, the only quest walkthugh I recall seeing is one for a quest that Aegis Runestone made awhile back.

Incredible quest Freedom!!! The sound effects and the graphics are so perfect for this quest. Got the 1st chamber already done. I'm trying to work my way through the 2nd chamber but I'm stuck already. Looking for a key to open the red treasure box. Already have the white sword and met the cutest pig too. Can you give me a hint please? I've tried bombing the walls and walking through them but so far nothing. I'm not discouraged yet but quite happy that I managed to do the 1st chamber without anyone else's help.

Thanks Freedom. I have finished chambers 1, 2, and 3. I was wondering about something though. I finished chamber 2 with an extra key. Found what I thought were all the treasures so I figured maybe it was needed to get into chamber 3. But I've completed the 3rd chamber and still have an extra key :shrug:
Going to bed now but hopeully will find some time tomorrow to play it.

my testers came up with an extra key too, I really don't know how, I've played that level a dozen times and never had an extra, so I guess I stashed one I just keep overlooking.
There are 2 extra keys in the game in the form of "easter eggs" as well as a lot of other stuff that's hidden.

No big deal about the extra keys as long as you have the Master Key in one of the chambers.
Anyway today I've managed to beat chamber 4 and do most of chamber 5. I'm stuck in the 5th chamber trying to get the cross and the boss dungeon key. I have the map and made my way to a room to the right of the boss door that has a very dark statue in the middle. I figure its either got a staircase to the cross or the boss key in a treasure box but I can't get anything to happen no matter what I try nothing changes. Any help would be appreciated.
I took a look into chambers 6 and 7 and was able to do parts of them and pick up some mighty fine treasures. I didn't use any keys from other levels so I wouldn't be short when I backtrack to finish them.
Found a few little surprises that have come in quite handy especially where the magic is concerned.
Anyway I hope everyone out there is enjoying this quest as much as I am.

It's not a very hard quest, mostly I was just playing with graphics and sounds to see how it would react, I knocked it out in two months

Having fun already, just got through level 2.

However, in the "check your newt's eyes" place with the explanation, just off the main hall, you can bomb the north wall and it'll turn into black void ground, along with many other tiles there, and you escape into completely random screens.

Freedom I think there is a bug. In Level9 from the start go East, North, East and there is what I call a "Double Bee" after defeating him you should be able to push a statue and fall down the hole with this statue so you can cover a spot on the floor. Well that Statue won't move. I went the other way North, West and did the same thing and the statue does move and falls down the hole with you (got the Gold Arrow here) this is why I think it should happen with the other room. Is this a bug or not?

if so try in the center of the c and get there by walking right.

In chamber 6 you first get some headache from headbanging against a wall ( in a goodiesroom) and then well look for some dust behind candles , try starting by looking for all this on the left side of the Chamber the rightside well , that rightside doesn't have the map :laughing:

Freedom or Elise I can't get to the top parts of Level 9 on the 1st floor or the Basement. Can I get a little hint. Is there a sword somewhere in Level 9? In the Basement between the "eyes" and with the lens I see you have to hit a crystal with a sword to get by some blocks but the one I have does nothing to it.

I dunno if it's me, but this game is easier than the first one. I made it to lvl 9 last night after about 3-4 hours of playing. I ran out of time though, and now I got some stuff to take care of before I can play again.

I'm saving up the cash for the lens of truth, because I haven't been able to find the room of endless wealth. I know where it is supposed to be from the clues, but I can't bomb the walls, walk through them, or find a false path. According to the map, there is 4 paths all around the room, exit to the south. It's the room with the white sword. Am I on the right trail?

Maybe because this time you ask questions to help you , but this one and the first Castle Haunt ,Freedom didn't make to be difficult , he made them for Halloween as fun quests

Where you can find the money well thats a secret I don't tell , but it can't be far ,

I'm stuck on level 7. I got the key two screens to the left of the green crystal room, and used it to open the Magic Container chest. I've been in the rooms where you can see the map and compass. I found the secret wall at the very beginning, but following that path I get all the way to a dead end in a room with a bunch of Pols Voice and a original Zelda style block formation without managing to accomplish anything useful. I tried pushing all the blocks and bombing and headbanging all the walls with no luck

Also, my pause map shows that the other bat room has an exit leading north, but I can't find it, and the pause map's not terribly reliable in Freeform Dungeons anyway.

Thanks for the help elise. I got the map but still can't find the boss key. I snuck a peek into the 7th chamber and got the fire boomerang but can't figure out how to change those 2 green crystals for the doors to open. I tried everything in my inventory including the fire boomerang and silver arrow but nothing works.

Sct Morgan I don't really know which room you mean is it the one with the blue orb , you need to hit that with the boomer and that one you can find by bombing down in a room filled with pots ;)

Ms_Zelda_Lady you need the Mirror shield it's on top in level 6

I found the Fire Boomerang chest, but I'm keyless. (I already got the one with the traps and the mirror shield statues, and used it.)

Found the room of infinite wealth, wish I found it sooner, but I'm not saying a word on where it is. Once again, something simple!

Edit: Just finished the game, I enjoyed it a lot. Ending was interesting. I even did the bonus level at the end just to see how harsh it would be. I won't spoil it for others, you'll have to see it for yourself. I just wish I could make games of this caliber, and to think you did it in 2 months! It would take me a year to think all of this up, although I've never made one, though I do have an idea in my head of some tricks. I just wish I knew how to impliment them.

I never did find the boss key to lvl 4. I did complete level 5 and I'm holding off on defeating the boss in lvl 6 because I want the reward after lvl 4. But I'm now in lvl 7 and have the boomerang.

You need a bomb to get in a screen that makes the C a little less a C

You find your way there from the left side
use some muscle power almost on top of the left side :)

Hey. great quest so far. I'm stuck in level 7. I went up and got the map and went up to the next room but can't both the "what do you call its" to go down at the same time so I can proceed up. There must be some special way to move the blocks to make them all to go down. Can someone help me??? Please

No can't help you to get them all down but know the trick you can move up :)
The last block you have to push is the block by the "pins" ( I also don't know how you call them ) you need to push it down and you move up :)

Hi, guys, I'm having a strange problem w/this game. I can't use bombs from the inventory. I always use the alt key for the sword and ctrl key for the inventory items, but it's not working. Does anyone else have this problem? it's weird.

did you already looked in your settings if it's still set up that way , can you use your other items , is your key hanging , ( just thinking what it all could be ) are you standing to close to the wall

I've spent the last 2 days trying to figure out chamber 9 with only a little success. I've managed to get the golden arrow and the map. I'm trying to figure out how to get the blocks in certain rooms so I can go further. I have 4 keys but haven't found anymore treasures. I found 2 rooms in the basement with star tiles but can't figure out how to get the doors open. Please if anyone can tell me what to do I'd really appreciate it. I really want to try the bonus dungeon.

the green one (farore's wind) is in the main hall enterance way and din's fire (red) I think was in Chamber 8, + I believe the the Farore's and Nayru's were both in the shop in case you didn't find them.

Chamber 2 I think you are in the room where you need to hit the statues with your boomer to open the door

Your second question is easy , that's the game .
If you can't move on try to walkthrough walls or bomb walls

for the cross look at your map and go to the most left up part of the map
one room from the top push a block ( this is something where I usually say use some muscle power ;) )

Thank you very much Elise. The problem was that I wasn't being really careful so everytime I got to the chest I couldn't open it because I was getting hit by the red bubble :drool: So I was looking for another key to get the chest open... :lol:

In chamber 6 in the upper right a bat says his clan said to help "did I buy bombs, did I find the secret" I hear the "chime" like when a chest appears but I've bomb'd, pushed, and whistled all over that room and nadda\nutt'n the 1\4 map shows a "door" up and down from there and I've been in all the rooms in the map even 1 or 2 not on the map. Am I missing something?
Oh by the way that is the same room that you can "sneak" into through the "glitch" in the newt's eye bag room.

Thank's Elise for clearing that up, I thought I might have messed up the trigger in that room with the bat when i came in through the "back door".
I was searching those wierd screens above the "newt's eye" bag room (wierd area that's best avoided) for the room of infinite wealth (which I found elsewhere) some times I'd appear stuck in a wall (had to restart game to get unstuck) and others would kill me or send me to the welcome screen, but 1 sent me to that room in chamber 6.

You know the ghoul that sells blue and red potions who "offers" magic potions also? Is there any reason that he won't sell me any magic potions? he offers it for about 65 rubies, but I can't get it, he won't let go. Is it just a trick or a glitch?
Part of his shirt seems to cover the bottle, like he's to close blocking me from it.
both of his shops are like that.
And a bit of help if you would, I have 15 hearts is there 2 in chamber 9? I found 1.

I found the 4th heart that I was missing in chamber 4. I found the chest but when i when to look for a key I forgot to go back to get the chest (must be oldtimer's disease hitting early, lol.)
Freedom your bonus quest was a real 'treat'.
The lens show'd a easter egg (rubies) in the first entry way to chamber 9 that I was never able to figure out how to trigger.
As always Freedom another great quest. Thank you for all your hard work.

... but I'm stuck in level 5, can't find the boss key at all. I think I've got all the treasures in that level, and even explored level 6 and got the mirrorshield and red tunic there :D but I just can't find the boss key. :(

If you look at the map in the last verticale row
go to the room in the middle there play a little Ronin Hood with the statue
and a passage way to the key appears

Does the last vertical row mean the leftmost one or the rightmost one? The leftmost one had a statue which needed the boomer to open, and I can't access the middle room in the rightmost vertical row. :(

This is chamber 5, right?

Okay from the start go totally straight up to the last room (there you get a key if you killed all the enemies it has a big head in the middle wall ) hit that with the boomer and a passage on the left opens to get at the rightside middle room

From the start, go east and walk through the wall behind the spider. Go ahead and you should be able to get it. :)

Ok, I feel like an idiot. Stuck in chamber 3, got all the goodies and the boss key cannot figure out how to get to the boss. Have not been to 4 rooms in this dungeon. Top 2 west most rooms and the bottom east most where the boss and eye are.

Any help please.

I'm on first floor. You Know that there's a room that u can open touching two red crystals. Well, i can do it on the left side, pushing a cube on the room with mummies, but i can't find something similar on the right side... :(

I can't even get past the entrance of Chamber 6. Yes, I know. I suck. I just can't find anything to do that can get me anywhere! I can get to the two bats (one guarding a Heart Container, the other guarding a new sword)...and that's about it. Nothing I have tried, and I mean NOTHING, accomplishes anything. I did manage to find 200 Rupees in the entrance room, but that doesn't help the whole "can't get anywhere" problem. :uhoh:

No, it's a spider in Chamber 7 that says "When in doubt, Burn Baby Burn!" Yes, I've done a little peeking ahead.

Chamber 6 is the one where two bats near the entrance ask you to kill the boss and offer you either a Heart Container or a new sword as payment for the job. The northern door in the entrance room is shut, as is the northern door of the room immediately to the east of the entrance (which is inhabited by a lone Fire Wizzrobe or whatever this particular variant is). One room east of that is the room with the sword. I WANT that sword. NOW. But it'll have to wait until I can get to the boss...which will have to wait until I figure out how to get past these freakin' rooms!

Tried it. Didn't work. Though that might have been because I was shooting at them from the sides...so I shot them from below. That worked.

And now that I've seen the Chamber 6 boss, I really, REALLY want that sword! And the mirror shield. And the red mail. I think I remember reading about those in this very topic. I don't need any specific number of Heart Containers to get that sword, do I?

Oh, and I've found a Magic Container. I've seen another chest, but I'm completely out of keys. Plus, it seems like the only places I can go are the area near the entrance and the area near the boss. A wee bit of a tip, please? :D

i am stuck in lvl 4 cause i can't find the boss key, on teh previous post it says i need to bomb a wall to map the C shape map into a less C. I still can't find which outer map to be bomb. I believe i bomb all sides but none seems to open a way? can anyone help me to pin point which wall to be bomb thanks.

Do a little headbanging to the left of the bombs room where you ge tthem bombs.

Where do I go first?Look for a room with one of those creatures that bounce around the room being indestructible until you play music. Kill this foe and push a block. Look for an unseen floor door and use it. In the upper part of this level you will find all the goodies you need to complete level 8.

GET THE SWORD FROM THE LEFT EYE AND HIT THOSE RED ORBS

you are right that feels much better

on the one side of the barrier you get by walking through walls and hit the skull
and the otherone is the mummie push block and the fall down push statue one

I did what you said first but it took me to a room w/ some talking skull.
I think items where their too, but can't remember.

ok, done level 4 :) 9 hearts... well one full row +1.

only one major issue so far and this may be related to playing it on the latest alpha. the item (don't know what it was) was under the reaper and not in the chest... everything appears to have moved down and the reaper moved down a little less then the rest.

well, i didn't mean to use such a harsh word but in dungeon 5 on the north west a bit there is a room with spear throwers... you HAVE to push the bottom left block UP and not in any other direction.

and in dungeon 9 there are 2 passages taking you to either top corner of the dungeon, both also need to be pushed in a particular direction... no hints are provided so it is pretty annoying and i had to fire magic at the enemy while he was near the fire places in the basement right?

nothing says beating the bonus dungeon ends the game. i played it under the assumption i had to travel through dungeon 9 again to get to the end OR the door on the right just outside the bonus dungeon re-opens leading to the proper end.
