View Full Version : Making custom SFX.dat files?

I'm not sure if this question is appropriately placed, considering that this isn't really a function of the quest editor itself, but I was curious as to how custom sfx.dat files are made. For example, Freedom made one for his Link to Tortuga quest, and a while back there were LTTP and LA sound effects files floating around (although those are sadly not compatable with 2.10). For general usage and for my quest, it would be wonderful if I could possibly create one of these myself, but I don't have a clue how or where to start.

Alternatively, if it's horrific and arduous/nigh impossible to do that, it'd be the next best thing if someone knew of any LTTP/LA/other alternative sfx.dat files already floating around that work with 2.10.
