View Full Version : My New Project on RPG Maker 2003

(There is no RPG Maker Section on this forum, so I'll post it here.)

I am currently in the process of developing an RPG starring Sonic the Hedgehog. The title is "Sonic RPG." I have completed the first demo of this RPG, but do to technical difficulties, I am unable to upload it to the internet... But, I still plan to release it. And, to tantilize your senses, I'll post a few screen shots to give you a sneak-peek to this RPG:

Dude, I gotta tell you, that looks sexcellent. I'm definitely looking forward to when/if you can get this uploaded. ;) I'd love to play it. So very badly. How many MB do you suspect it is right now?

You might wanna dl a font fix. The letters in Sonic's class are all fucked up. You might wanna get that fixed. :)

heh, funny thing, my font in my game is screwed up too. Its a inherent flaw in rm2k3 where font patch fixes that are currently out there, seem to NOT work when I install them.

Thank god, because I've heard the patch is 9 MB. >_< Not worth it for dial up users. And apparently, not worth it at all! @_@'

Well, I only have Rpg Maker 2000, so I didn't know about the huge file size.

The upload problem is that the filesize is to big for conventional upload... However, as soon as I start college again (In a couple of weeks) I'll use FTP to upload it.

And to explain the class system in this RPG: Each character has his or her own elemental force. The class determines what attacks that character is weak against, or resistant to. Each elemental force is governed by its own Chaos Emerald, following this trend:

Green Emerald: Wind
Red Emerald: Fire
Blue Emerald: Water
Light Blue Emerald: Ice
Yellow Emerald: Earth
Purple Emerald: Darkness
White Emerald: Light

Wow. Sounds like a nice system. Can you tell us which characters have which emerald, or it it too early to say/not programmed yet?

I would say, but I'll spoil the game. You just have to stay tuned in. Next week, I plan to release it.

Wow, it looks quite nice. I'm unfamiliar with Sonic X, but I notice Sally Acorn seems to be a party member (SatAM and a little Archie Comics knowledge) ^^

I'll definately want to look into it when it comes out ^^ And I have to applaud anyone who succesfully makes and finishes a game with RPG Maker.
