FF or DQ?

Well, while we wait for FF XII, square has not left us totally in the dark, Dragon Quest VIII comes out this fall. Which one of these RPG series do you enjoy more?
for me its gatta be DQ.

FF, but only because Square wasn't a jew and decided only to release new games in Japan. The DQ series was awesome up to number 4, but then 5 and 6 were never released, nor were any of the remakes. I'm going to try and track down 7 though, as the series has something to it that FF doesn't. It's also awesome 8 is going to be released, but what about the remake of 5, done in 8's engine? No news on that, and I doubt Square-Enix(pretty much run and owned by Enix now) is going to release it.

FF is still great though, since its character building systems are awesome for micromanagers.

I'll go with Final Fantasy. Not sure why. Maybe I just like my stat-building sci-fi orientated RPG gaming.

I tried DQ VIII at E3 and it couldn't hold my interest for more than a minute. I'll go with FF.

I like to enjoy a nice Cookie Dough Blizzard while playing FF.

Definatly FF. It's got a more smooth battle system and some great storylines (7 and 10).

I only liked 1 FF. IX was great, X was okay. I loved the DQ/DW games for the gameboy and I played/own all of them. DQ VII wasn't too great, but it diverted my attention for 40 hours, which is a long time, especially with a gameshark.
I'd say DQ/DW for overall playing time.

I'm going to have to go with Final Fantasy. I just enjoy the entire series a bit more. Especially II, IV and IX. ^_^
