What I'm trying to do is give my boomerang animated (like in Mega Man Wily's Revenge: Directors Cut). Does anyone know how to do that? I've tried a few different things myself but nothing is working, got some pretty weird looking boomerangs too. Can anyone help me?

I'm sure someone does, and they will notice your topic without you double posting. Please refrain from doing that again. You can edit your posts if you have something to add.

When you say animated boomerang what exactly do you mean, what do you want it to do.

I'm glad you asked. What the regular boomerang does is it's one sprite that flips as it flies out. What I want is for the boomerang to actually behave like a combo. I want it to have one frame that looks like a "plus sign" and then the next frame that looks like an "X" it's supposed to look like a big shuriken that's spinning as it flies. I know that this is possible because the boomerang item in the Mega Man Wily's Revenge Directors Cut quest does just that. Okay, I think that's as clear as I can put it.

Yes and yes. I actually threw the boomerang in that quest and hit the escape key to see if it really was two different frames and it is.

that's your problem. in BS Zelda animation, the boomerang sprite is flipped first horizontally, then vertically. a perfect X wouldn't look like it was doing anything. maybe I could make you a test sprite real quick for you to use in place of what you have

try using that in place of the image you have for your boomerang
