P.S. I've given up on your quest. I've gotten as far as the beach but have died several times trying to get past the traps and go up the stairs. It was fun what I played but diying so many times and having to start all over on the beach made it no fun for me.

This quest has problems. How do you get the key in the water in lvl 1? And you can't exit lvl. 1. More bug work would make it good--I liked what I could play...

You either have to walk around and a tile triggers the water to leave or use the boomerang and hit a certain tile or you have to use the whistle and the water goes away. I was able to finish the first level and actually was about to give up but went back and finally finished the beach area and have done perpetual forest but I'm now stuck trying to find the hookshot. I got the clue about needing the hookshot but I haven't found it. Also I see what I believe is the next dungeon but I don't have the ladder so I can't go there. Tried burning the trees hoping to trigger the staircase to go down but that won't work either.
Please can you tell me what I have to do next?

Um, you need to check "Level 3 Pallete fix". Or uncheck it. I dunno which, but it should be the opposite of what you have it so Link's hat doesn't turn skin color.

I think I see Lvl 2 on the beach but none of the docks take me too it. Am I missing a dock somewhere? I've seen and been on 4 docks. Where is there another that will take me to what I think is Lvl 2?

You're probably right about the Level 2. I never got to that dock so its probably level 2.

Thanks Fajz, I've found level 2 and got the bow but I haven't found an arrow. I found someone who asked me if I've bought arrows yet but I never came across a shop that sells it.
So if anyone can tell me where the shop that sells the arrows is, I'd really appreciate it.

Rocksfan13, I have a question for you. In Level 4 on the first floor How do you get to the rooms in the south west corner? I have the Hammer and the Flippers out of this Level, but can't get to these 3 rooms to which I suspect has the Boss Key and possibly something else.

Thanks rockfan got it. In rooms like this one that got me too the Boss Key in level 4 you have to stand at a certain spot to blow the whistle for the stairs to appear. Is there a way to know where you have to stand? One more thing in Level 5 in the northwest corner of floor 2is there something in this room or some other way out besides where you came in?

I'm stuck again rocksfan13 in the 3rd dungeon. I've gotten the hookshot, the 2nd boomerang and even the 1st bracelet but can't figure out how to get to the blue ring or how to get to the boss key. Even checked out Forest Village. Its a great quest even if I'm having problems.

Rockfan13, I just finished Level 5 and had to tell you the hiden warps are awesome. There is NO way you are gonna find the warp I couldn't find in L5 without the Lens. To Cool rockfan to Cool. There are 5 rooms in L5 I couldn't get to Floor 1 the middle two rooms and floor 2 the two northeast rooms and the southwest room. Can you help me out a little?

In level 3 hookshot leaft then up and that should get you there. As for finding level 5, use the raft and then swim around that area. As for the wallet(money bag) look for a covered hole in the forest. P.S. - Where you see water, it's always a good idea to use the whistle to see if there's something there. The fire boomerang you can't get yet.

Fajz, (floor 2 northeast)There is a bombed wall to the west after taking the passageway. Use it to reset the darknuts in that room then find the push block. (floor 2 southeast) Use the lens. Floor 1 is another glitch. Forgot to take those rooms off the map.

Floor 2 is a 4 x 4 set of rooms. The 3 I can't get to are... top "row" of rooms 2 east most rooms and the other room is the very bottom right room (southeast corner). I have gotten the Boots and the Ladder out of this Level and I'm wondering is there some Food somewhere in here. I need the food in Level 6 and can't find it in the Overworld.

There's a shop that sells the food. I'm sorry but I can't remember where it is. It might be one of the shops where you need the mushroom to buy a potion.

Still unable to hookshot to the left and up to get the triforce in level 3. Obviously something's not right cause when I first walk into the triforce room I can use the hookshot to the left block but when I tried to use it to hookshot up to the block to get to the triforce it doesn't work. Please anybody pm with the solution.
On a brighter note I have finished level 4, explored in both levels 5 and 6 and gotten some mighty fine treasures along the way. Even got the Fire Boomerang. Only wish you had not put such a steep price for the magic book. That alone makes me want to give up on this quest already.
Don't know if I'm good enough to finish your quest rocksfan13 but I'm really going to try.
BTW how do I get rid of the blue blocks?

The wand. Getting that triforce piece should happen. You do manage to get around for the exit right? Move a little closer and then try to hookshot the top block again. BTW the book is the only expensive thing in the quest.

Oh, I see. Back away from the pit and get as close to the wall as you can then try from as far away as you can.

I have the magic key and have had it for a while. I'm talking about the Level 4 Sword. I have 15 hearts and 3 of the 4 needed for another heart and still can't get the sword. Anyway I have gotten too Level 9 and been into every room on the 1st floor and most of the rooms on the 2nd floor including the room that tell me there are 5 floors. Goodness this is gonna be a blast. I've already been thru 16 stair cases (warps) and haven't even finished the 2nd floor. You are an awesome quest maker. I am having a blast playing this quest. However I am going out of town this weekend so I won't be able to play until Monday. Have a nice weekend all and I'll talk to you on Monday. Ms_Zelda_Lady you'll probable be finished by then.

Come on people. All you have too do is go to the forest and find a screen with a lot of bushes and keep going in and out of that screen for a while slashing all the bushes and just collect your money. Yea it takes a while but after you get there it feels damn good. Now for my question...RockFan which floor in Level 9 is the Silver or Gold arrow on? I'm on the 4th floor and it has a "Crab" thingy that I need a more powerful arrow to defeat. I have also found the warp to the 5th floor. Which floor has the arrow upgrade? Off to work. Talk to you tomorrow. Any more info you want to give me about the arrow upgrade I'll take, but it's not necessary.

Yea I found the L3 ring, the Silver Arrow, the Gold Arrow, but for the life of me I can't find the Boss Key. I really need some help. PM me if you would like. I've been in every room of the 5th floor except one of the middle rooms of the bottom row. If that is where the key is I'll be bummed out. I've now looked for this key for 2 days. I've just about had it. I just know it's gonna be somewhere simple. I'll be mad at myself if it is.

It is. There is a secret stair case in a most unexpected place that will take you to that room. (Hint: Look close to Ganon.)

Awesome RockFan13, that's all I can say Awesome. I can't remember when a quest has been so much fun. I've now completed 83 custom quests and there has been a lot of great ones, but the fun of yours can only be had by playing yours. Thanks for the help on the Boss Key. Eventually I probably would have found it, but it would have taken me way longer than my patience would have held. Two thing I found that I can remember. 1) You can't buy1/2 Juices. You can buy the Red Juice but not the Blue and 2) In Level 8 floor 2 if you take the warp that is in the SouthWest corner (Red Ring room) it takes you to the clock room and you don't have to finish the Level. Again GREAT quest and I look forward to the sequel thought I have to tell you It's gonna take super human effort to beat this one.

PS I don't think you should have changed the price on the Book, but that is just my opinion.

PSS 51 deaths was way above average for a 1st time played quest. I'm usually around 30 to 35 deaths the first time around.

Please help - Got through dungeons 1-4 and both ladder and flippers from # 5. On 2nd floor of #5 the nw top room - enter from the left and using the lens I see a path going up - without the lens it appears as a wall - how does one trigger it or do you come back around from some other warp. Also where is the compass in this level? I have the 2nd bracelet but not the 2nd candle. I have been in level 6 but reach a dead end because of no 2nd candle for the yellow block. There was also a temporary glitch - while in the mountain forest I entered the warp stairs room behind the post - tried all the stairs but they kept sending right back outside into the mountain forest. It would only correct by resetting the system - just thought you should know. If anyone can help I would sure appreciate it.

On screen 54 on the Beach, there is a bombable hole in which a Moblin offering money resides. An infinite loop occurs with the text, forcing the player to quit and continue.

The red candle is on the second floor. The compass is on the third floor. As for level 5 try burning one of the corners of the secret path. The lens shows what is to happen after the trigger, if that helps.

Hi Rocksfan - it's me again - thanx for the help in post #117 - I got into the passage and got the compass and boss key and killed the boss - but still cannot find red candle. There are still 3 rooms on the 2nd floor I haven't entered. Top row 2 north east rooms, bottom row it's the se most room. Or is red candle in dungeon 6. I don't want to ruin the game for anyone but I am really stumped. I even found dungeon7 and was able to write down the directions before I forgot but without the red candle I'm stuck. Thanx

Entering sceen 35 in Level 2 forces the player to take two hearts of damage because Link "oversteps" when entering through a door that shuts behind of him. Was this intended?

I passed level 1 i can't get the yellow shield on the beach next to the shop. i can't get the heart container near the shed, or the one in the open in the perpetual forrest. I also can't get to the target in the cave right before the perpetual forrest. Does anyone have any answers?

There isn't a way to buy any keys until you get the wand. And yes you are probably missing a secret. There is no way to the right of the wasteland maze.

In level 3, the northern door in room 77 does not lead back downstairs. Instead, it sends the player into the room directly north of it (room 67) like a one-way door. Was this intended?

Update: Is there a lack of keys in Level 3? I found that the entrance room in Level 3 has a secret passage that leads to an empty item cellar. Was this intentional?

If the wand is in the room second from the bottom in the middle, yes i need a key, or a way to get across the blocks. If it is in the room on the middle bottom then i need to reveal the stairs. If i need the key from the room on the bottom right then i don't know how to get that. Thanks

I'm trying to understand, i need the wand to open the door in the bottom middle room. Yet the wand is in one of the two bottome rooms, either the bottom middle or the bottom right. If the wand is in the bottom right i have no idea how to get it. If the wand is second from the bottom in the middle ( acroos the stones) i need a key to go past the room that tells me i need the book. I am totally lost thanks for your patience?

Yup i was able to beat the quest. Even though i never got the level three sword. I wanted to go back and get it though so i was trying to figure out which heart container i missed. I'll try to be vague so as not to let everyone know where they are. I obviously got all the ones that were visible, i think i got all the ones that you can see using the lens . I got one on a board where you had to kill the creatures and it appears. i got one under water i think, and i think i moved a rock for another. Over all am missing just 1/4 of a heart. Any hints would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Try all the water. And all the rocks. Not all are pushed. Some water you need to be in a specific spot.

Under the rocks that can't be pushed, can you see the opening with the lens. Can you give me the areas ( i.e. The beach) where there are stones and water with hearts,and how many hearts are in them?

I have arrived at the 5th floor, but want to exit the dungeon (to obtain more potion, find missing heart pieces, etc.). Whenever I quit and either continue or save, I always end up at the fifth floor entrance. I can't seem to leave on my own as well. Is there a way to exit?

Yes. Find the silver arrow. Then shoot the target. Or navigate back down all 5 floors.

One cannot navigate back across a pit in the 4th floor near the entrance to the 5th (one or two rooms south of a string of bosses) because there is nothing that a hookshot can grapple onto.

You can view the overworld map by pressing the coressponding key the you set to view it under settings->keys. The dungeons will probably work the same way.

I finally had time to pick up this quest and I am having a good time! I saw that the magic boomerang is in level 3 but I have not found it yet. I believe that I have been in every room and I have finished the level with both the hookshot and the blue ring. If anyone can tell me what I am missing it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Now I'm stuck on level 7 like others were on the last page. I can get to the room right before the room with the wand but I can't get in the room because of a lack of keys. I can see one key on the second floor in the lower right room but I can't get to it because of a blue block that I can only assume is broken with the wand. A little help would be lovely thank you. Oh and I have downloaded the most receint update.

I'm trying to find level 3, and I've read all the posts about the perpetual forest. I have tried everything on all the parts of the beach I can get to, but I've never even SEEN the perpetual forest. I read that it's stairs on the beach near level 2, but level 2 is just a little island, and it's not there, and I've backtracked all the way back to each section of beach, and I just can't find it, or the perpetual forest or the passageway between the beach and perpetual forest where the sword is.

What am I doing wrong?

btw...great quest Rocksfan...I'm not the greatest player, but I'm really enjoying it. I find it pretty hard, but that's what makes it fun.

I'll put it this way when your on two of the raft rides you can see where the cave is.

Thx for trying to help Wanderer. But I can only see one cave on my raft rides, and it's not a dungeon, it's a passageway (if you mean the one to the west as you're going either north or south on the raft.

I found the perpetual forest, but it appears to be one or two screens and that's it.

Oh your still searching the level one section? There are two sections to the P forest the level one section, then you go to the beach and level two, then from the beach you find a passageway and get to the much larger second part of the P forest :laughing: Sorry for the mix up.

Ok...just so I'm sure...I beat level 2 and sailed back over to the beach where the little brown building is that houses a passageway. So I have to go through there and look around where the arrow shop is?

Jeyla: To find the perpetual forest, slash a bush. This can be done either before or after completeing level 2, but you will need the item from level 2 to access level 3. There is only one place on the beach that has bushes. The south east corner. Try there.

Gekos: The key is in a village. Remember the mayor that was hiding things?

thanx for the help finding lvl 4 but i can't find the end to lvl 5 or get past a room in the village hall. the village hall room is after you get past the gold block(i'vd got the red candle) at the end of the passageways(after the boss key also).

You need something else in the village hall to continue. Level 5, you will need the lens for.

In level 5. If you see a lit torch on a wall that the lens shows, burn it.
Village Hall don't worry about until after level 7. The item you need is in there.

And to rockfan a lot of the text said by shop keeps and other npcs in the wastelands and the 'nut village are stringed together to the point were some npcs are saying other npcs lines. Just thought you sould know. :D also the music for the village Hall is badass, where's it from?

Thank you so much, Rocksfan and Wanderer. I can't believe I couldn't find that passage. I bombed, burned, boomeranged, whistled, and arrowed that thing at least 10 times, lol. I did everything but the most obvious thing, and I spent over 8 hours because of my stupidity, lol.

Anyway, I have found level 3 and the forest, and all is right with the world again :)

I love this quest. It's the best one I've played so far, even though, like I said before, I'm not a very good player and I find it really hard, but it wouldn't be as fun if it was easy. Once I beat this one, I'm gonna play your other quest.

With my playing skills, that should be in about six months from now, lol.

I'm just trying to find one more key in level 3, but did I read I have to download a patch or newer version, or am I just not finding the last key I need?

I'll go read the other posts first, but if I do need a later version, is there a link?

I need an item from the mayor to proceed in lvl 7, but i think i need the item in lvl 7 to proceed in the village hall. so where is my mistake and how do i get past the first room of the subbasement in the village hall. i think it has to do with the design on the wall but i've tried everything i can and nothing works.

No. You have it backwards. The item the mayor has, you do not need to continue through level 7.

You need the item from level 7 to pass the village hall. Remeber that hint from the old man is just a reminder. It doesn't necessarily mean you need to go back to the village to continue thru the level.

Hint: It's pretty close to Ganon on the West side.

Thx Rocksfan...right after I posted, I re-read this entire thread and backtracked from the other person's post on how to get back to Mountain Homeland. Once I had the area, It was easy to find.
