What the hell happened to my task manager?

The top portion with all the tabs and shit is gone. What the fuck did I do and how do I fix it?

I'm a total stranger to Task Manager so don't take my advice too seriously, but at least these are options you can try.

1) Exit task manager and re-enter it. Or maybe restart? This is, of course, the rather simple assumption that you took this screenshot at the very first viewing of this occurrence.

2) Press the key to the left of right ctrl. Then press right. Hopefully it'll "find" the File Menu. God, let's hope so. =/ I know it doesn't always work.

Did you install some new theme or such that could be affecting the drawing of menus and Tabs?

This happened to my dad's computer too. I don't know what the hell happened, but to close it, we had to Alt-F4.

Actually, I did. But I just set it back to what it was before and then the default XP theme and still nothing. I even tried restarting. :o

Just double click on the side of the task managert. Then it is fixed. What it is set to is to show it better for you. Just another stupid feature I never understood.
