it wouldnt be difficult to write a program that could read zc quests and assign different variables to what the layout is...thereby making the possibility to display quests in three-d
not just with neater looking flat tiles, but with three dimensional tiles. viewed on a 3/4 overhead floating camera. or perhaps in an isometric view.

not a serious any time soon idea, but something that would be neat ifsomeone would do it.

I can imagine assigning various heights to each grid square, and creating a 3d mesh to fit that. Then drape the tile graphics over it. Some heights could be implied by the combo type, but others would have to be explicitly set at least on a per combo basis. I'm not entirely sure how layers would be have to be handled though.
