I'm purchasing a domain name for a new website for a project I'm working on. I haven't done this in YEARS and I'm not sure where to go. I'm thinking GoDaddy? ("http://www.godaddy.com).
Are there any better ones?
Anyone have any advice or gotchas for setting up a new web site/domain?
thanks in advance,
Bel

I use 000domains.com
13.50 a year.
I'm sure there are cheaper ones nowadays, but 000domains offer quite a few extra features as well.

I used godaddy primarily for the "domain by proxy" feature. I'm not sure what all other features they've got.

You can go cheap w/ fuitadnet, but I've found their services to be very unreliable and the customer service to be shanty. However, I get 4GB storage for less than 5 dollars a month, and the registration for 7.95.

i've always used godaddy and never had a problem, they're also very inexpensive and have great service response times.
