Mod Chip Question

I have a Sony PlayStation 2 SCPH-70011 (the new slim system). I've been considering purchasing some games that are only available in Japan, and as such, obviously, I need a mod chip.

Should most mod chips typically work with this new version of the system, and might you have any recommendations and suggestions for a worthwhile chip?

I'd just get swap magic and the clips for the slim ps2. A lot les messy and you don't need to crack anything open.

No problem. I have a swap magic disc set and slidecard for my original ps2. I think I'm a couple versions behind though. Don't know what the differences are though.

Most Swap Magic updates are just to work on the later revisions of the console.
