View Full Version : The tiles used for the "explosion" data doesn't let you use more than 2 tiles...?

...I think. Basically, I was trying to get these awesome super metroid explosion tiles to work as my explosion, and after 15 minutes of recoloring, I discovered no matter what I did, it would only use the first 2 tiles.
Am I missing something?

You have to edit the explosion's data to use the number of frames you need for the explosion. "Quest -> Graphics -> Sprites -> Weapons/Misc" then choose Explosion from the list and set the number of frames and the animation speed. At least, I'm pretty sure this should work. If it doesn't, then maybe it is limited to two frames.

See, thats the problem. It is limited to 2 frames, I was wondering if a different MISC type would alter that, or if there was anything I could do to bypass this problem. I spent a lot of time recoloring, I dont' want it to be for no reason. :shrug:

I always thought it could use as many as you wanted... check the LTTP set and see how it is set up in the quest included. Maybe that will tell you (I would check myself if I was actually at home).

Edit: Yes, I have it set to 5, and it works just fine. Maybe a glitch in the version you are using?

Well, you can, but I had it set to 5, and it worked. So, I can imagine you can set it to anything.
