In other news, his rant about Cameron Diaz (http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=trippin) is genius.

My picture result for the quiz failed, but I can tell you that I am Obi-Wan-Kenobi.
As for Maddox, I saw that the other day, and as with all of his rants, my spleen failed from the laughter. Nothing was better than his ratings of children's pictures, however.

I heart maddox. However I do not heart being fucking anakin.

EDIT: "Speaking of, that reminds me of the character "General Grievous" a bad guy so sinister, his very name stands for PAIN AND SUFFERING. Nice job assholes. Tired of thinking up awesome names like "Lord Dooku" and "Nute Gunray" for your bad guys? Why not just call all your characters "Evil" and "Bad" next time? All Grievous needed was a monocle, and a large black moustache that he could twirl as he cackled "I'll get you, if it's the last thing I do!" Ditch this bullshit."

i rule!!!

and as far as grevious's name goes, most of the darth's names have hinted to something. Maul is a splitting axe, and sounds similiar to the spanish word for bad. if i'm not mistaken, Vader actually means father in dutch, or some similiar language.

hehe, Maddox is funny... and correct about somethings... but for someone who claims Star Wars is an insult to his intelligence, he seemed to misunderstand like half the movie. It may be a giant turd burger as he professes, but it's a turd burger that sailed over his internet addicted little head.

I am Yoda.

Maddox is always great to read, but I do not agree with him on either his views this time. I love Cameron Diaz an I find her totally hot and I am a big Star Wars fan.

Thats complete horse shit. I'm not that awesome. I think the one I came closest to getting that I'd relate to more is C-3PO.

Maddox kind of sucks. First of all, he has only one name. Secondly, he swears a lot while shooting at easy targets. I don't see what's origional about him at all. Hey, why not write a "hilarious" rant about how Britney Spears is annoying?

Oh yeah, and...

Why having one name sucks? Since when a name makes a person cool? He never made fun of Britney Spears? Women are usually his easy targets. How did he miss out on her? And maybe on Paris Hilton too.

Because Britney Spears hasn't do anything recently that has incited a rant. His site isn't a professional journalistic page. He's not obligated to seek out the hidden stories. He writes about what's currently topical. And even though he swears a lot he doesn't just disparage someone/thing without listing out the reasons. I don't always agree with him, but I do find most of his articles hilarious.

Writing about whatever current event is on the news is the cheap path to humor, like all the lame stand up comedians who did jokes about Monica Lewisnki or Judge Ito.

General Grievous 75%
Emperor Palpatine 72%
Anakin Skywalker 67%

I think I got Grievous because I chose dissembowlment over other methods. I'm actually very surprised that I'm not Palpatine.

On the topic of Maddox: You are totally lame for posting about it here at AGN. Maddox and his readers are their own breed, and usually are the types of people that would find that on their own, not from some random do-gooder on a message board. It hurts me on the inside to know that a lot more people - yuckers, buffoons, and slack-jawed yokels - are getting 'tuned in' to his posts every day because of people like this.

Am I an elitist because of my way of thinking? Absolutely. When the world ends, I'll make sure that I don't let people on the bottom get to the top.

And you misunderstood me. I didn't say anything about journalistic integrity. I just said that he's not required to dig for stories and do research. He comments on current topics and that's because it's easily related to by his reading public. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Why was it lame to post a maddox thread? Maddox is great.

Maddox is publishing his first book! Maddox, a graduate of the University of Utah, started his satirical weblog, “The Best Page in the Universe" in ‘97 and it has grown in popularity significantly since then. Getting at one time about 1 million hits per month, Maddox’s witty satire has attacked nearly every group of people on the planet. Most well known for his “I am better than your kids" page and the follow up, “More crappy children’s art work" I am expecting great things from his book.

The publisher, Kensington Books, will be releasing it in March ‘06. It will have 144 pages and although the title has not been announced yet, it will be either humor or, if Maddox gets his way, self-help. The books will be available in all major bookstores in America, Australia, Canada and the UK.
