I was wondering.. is there a way to make messages appear

on the bottom instead if the top?

There's no real way to make messages appear at the bottom instead of the top, though you could use combo cycling to make text appear somewhere other than where it normally does. You would need to make a lot of combos for this though, and you'd have to block in Link until the last combo finished cycling, then you'd have to make one(or all) of the things blocking Link change into walkable tiles to let him move again.
