Can someone tell me how to make cutscenes (people and things moving on there own) id like to put a few in my quest. Thanks :)

Its a little complicated. first set up the tiles for the characters

then, make the screens for the scene, now use layers, and make link

invisible {screen data invis-link} and if you want, use timed warp tics.

here is an example. in the desert someones house is locked up. the oasis

is dried up. you would make a Trigger enemy, and you MUST HAVE

A KILL ALL ENEMIES ITEM ON THE SCREEN! { because trigger enemies are

invisible} now make the "dried up" oasis make it seem like it "filled up"

by going to secret combos and flags 16-30 to choose the water.

make strings for the characters and set them to fire i'm assuming you're

using the pure set right? {so fire doesn't come up} then make the "locked door"

Great. Its working exept for one thing:

When i move it to a black screen, i want speech to appear. I set a guy (invisible) and a string, but in the game, the text doesnt appear. The D-Map type is overworld if that helps.

The level number has to be above 0 for text to show up right on the screen. On level 0, text only works in caves.

so i am assuming that is ALSO how you make custom shops,etc?by setting the lv number to 11 or 12 or something?

Correct, just make sure the level is set to some sort of number other then 0, and from what I know the dmap needs to be set on dugeon.
