I've been playing ZC for awhile, but I've noticed that even though the game plays fine, I get no sound or music. Is there something I need to do to enable sounds and music in ZC?

No, that's a bug in version 2.10. It'll be fixed in the next release.

what do u mean it's a bug in 2.10? i get sfx and bgm in all ZC versions including 2.10. Ty this to get it to work:

1. Re-download ZC
2. Also download the archives
3.Go into the zeldaclassic editor
4. go into etc.
5. select 'lost woods'
6. let it play for a little bit
7. select 'stop tunes'
8. exit the editor and then try to play quests and see if it works. Also make sure the volume isn't muted.

Just to let you know i have an integrated yamaha video card in my packard bell.

No, it IS a confirmed bug, some people DO NOT get music that plays anywhere near loud enough to hear it. I get sound and music working fine on all other versions of ZC, and I can also adjust the volume of both in all other versions(moving the sliders doesn't adjust the volume in 2.10) so this is just a 2.10 bug which they said they've fixed.

I have sound and music in the 2.10 and 1.83 versions. But I have no music in the older versions that I downloaded to be able to play all the quests without problems of upgrade. I did what was suggested, but it did not work on 163 and 1.90. Is there something else to do?
