What's that song in the SNL commercial parody for "Shmidt's Gay" (a beer product) with Adam Sandler & Chris Farley? (Remember, they go do a house sitting bit & the place is a dump, including the pool & suddenly the pool is clean & filled w/ sparkkling water and...well, guys in speedos.

Anyway, what's that song they place in the background? (part of the lyrics go 'sitting on top of the world!' and i searched for that song but can't find it so perhaps its not called that and i dont know who its by anyway)

A quick http://images.theplustwo.com/emotes/google.gif search for "schmidt's gay" found this page (http://www.songfacts.com/detail.lasso?id=1470) which says that the song in the commercial was "Beautiful Girls" by Van Halen. It contains these lyrics:
Now I'm a-seaside sittin'
Just a-smokin' and a-drinkin', I'm ringside
On top of the world (Top of the world)
I got a drink in my hand, I got my toes in the sand
All I need, is a beautiful girl (Beautiful girl)
Oh yeah!It's on the album "Van Halen II". :)

I was just about to jump in and say something about this because Van Halen is my favorite band in the universe hands down no competition.

Is it because they're so creative and original? Or because you like their hair?


Also, the SG commercial is very....frightening.

It's why I never clean my house.
