Sorry, all I can help you with is, you won't get sound if your using this, and something else that uses MIDI. An example of a MIDI-using program is ZQuest, as well as ZC.

Try going into your control panel, go to sounds, then MIDI and check to make sure that the MIDI player that you are using works.
