Mine is all fucked up, the d-pad sticks, and the buttons don't work.

I went to Gamestop today. They don't carry them. They said they haven't carried Super-nintendo stuff in years. So I'm like great. Now what the fuck am I gonna do?

So, any suggestions where I can get a controller, with out spending a small fortune?

Funcoland?

And the SNES controller is still my favorite controller of all time. :)

Edit: Or Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3592&item=8186428101&rd=1). $2.82 + $5.85 S&H = $8.67, hardly a small fortune.

Funcoland is Gamestop.

You can try EBay, or you can order a "new" one online somewhere. I think there's only one company that makes SNES controllers anymore... They're replicas of the standard controller, except the cord is shorter and they use cheaper materials, so they wear out easier.

I was over at eStarland (http://www.eStarland.com) today, and it looks like they have 3rd party SNES controllers for $4.95. Check it out.

UPDATE: If you want Nintendo "brand" controllers, Nintendo's online store has them for $15.95. http://store.nintendo.com/

we have at least 4 up here. and given that we don't play muti-player that often (except for super bomberman), i'm sure the roommate wouldn't notice if one went missing

You could always find out if there are any car boot sales around. They have all sorts of people's old stuff. Do you get them outside of the UK? Anyway, failing that, you could always come to the UK and go to Gamestop. They sell old junk. Though, the SNES is hardly junk.
