I'm looking for someone with good photoshop skills. As some of you may have noticed I have a new picture in my signature. I tried to make all the white around it transparent but it wouldn't work. So basically I was hoping one of you would be able to edit the picture, maybe even change the font so it matches Nintendo's font.

Maybe even make it a shitload smaller.

You could make it all pixellated, then it would look really good. You'll have to find out which skin most people use, then you could just make the background that colour. I don't know how you make it transparent.

I agree with DarkPanther, though, you should make it smaller, as it takes a while to load. But it's quite clever. Unfortunately, my only image editor is paint, so I can't help, just give suggestions.

It's because it's a jpeg. You have to save it in GIF format then click on tools and *Set Transparent Color* in your Photo Editor.

Yeah, ok I'll try that. And I'll make it smaller.
EDIT: There's no set transparent colour on tools. If it makes a difference I have GIMP 2 as my photoshop program.
EDIT2: Ok, I got it.

Here's a better one, dude

EDIT: made it smaller.

EDIT2: You can see by clicking THIS LINK (http://www.forrestkyle.com/photos/test.html) that the crappiness around the edges is an effect of the BBS software. You can see it around smilies too.

I got the font from some Nintendo fan site. Here is the world "Nintendo" written in the font I used:

Actual Nintendo font:

It's pretty darn close if it isn't exact.

Bel - the reason the edges look better on your link is because of the white background, it masks the white crap. Use a .png file for the best results.

hmmm... How do I get it to be transparent though? I seem to be having trouble with that. It always comes out with a plain white background.

What editing program do you use? In Photoshop 7 I cut the picture and paste it onto a transparent background, then use the magic wand tool to delete the background.

Here, this should do.
(Edit: Ah, right, forgot the IE thing. Let's see if this'll do it. The width is 289.)
(Edit again: Didn't seem to make any difference... Well, that's what you get for using IE, I guess.)

Use a .png file for the best results.http://www.atmaweapon.org/images/emot/eng101.gifInternet Explorer does not handle transparent PNG images properly unless they are delivered in a specific fashion. There is a PNGA (http://www.armageddongames.net/misc.php?do=bbcode#pnga) tag in the forums that will make it work (check the link for the lovely "I STEAL IMAGES" example of leeching!), but this is a failing of IE I cannot support.

I kept thinking one of the Opera nerds would bring it up and finally defeat me in a browser argument, but oh well. Now that I've laid it on the table it doesn't hold the same show-stopping power.

Ok, thanks Bel, that one is better. It's got more of an "old school" look to it.
