This peripheral is the sole reason why the system sold countless millions of NES consoles, and we felt it was time to pay him the respect he deserves more than 20 years later
Hahah that's pretty funny.

Sorry, I didn't look at the date ;p

Thought doesn't IGN usually update their april fools stories saying they are jokes?

Not to mention, why the fuck is it still on the front page?

Oh, that's a shame, I was getting quite exited. Making a R.O.B. free with a game is something that I would expect Nintendo to do, though, not anymore. I'm not sure how long the Gameboy will last under the DS, so it's a question of how much more Nintendo will invest in the system. Still, pretty clever joke.

Yeah, I don't understand why they are still on the front page either. Most of the stories they had have been updated, so I don't know why this one was any different. I almost fell for their Metroid Movie one this year, so you're not the only one they got.

R. O. B. is awesome. I wish mine had his grabby claws so I could play gyromite :)

Yeah, maybe it's actually true :P Some people do post legit news on April 1st after all. Too hard to say right now though.

I hope it's true, I want a R.O.B! It'd make a funky little key-ring. If it is an April Fools though, it's cool, but I've seen better. The Zelda Wind Waker Remake (http://www.zeldauniverse.net/images/AprilFoolsScan.jpg) was pretty good, but my absolute favourite has to be the First Look at Half-Life 2. (http://www.planethalflife.com/features/articles/hl2prev/) Man that cracked me up!

And out of interest, this is my 50th post. Go me.
