E-reader question

I haven't been around in a while and I'm coming back (hopefully for a good while this time) and I've been hearing about the e-reader and how you can make a printable dotcode from an e-reader file (that's on the pc). Now i'm wanting to know if there's any tools/sites out there that allow one to do more things the e-reader dotcodes, importing codes from actual cars or how to code a card. Any can anybody point me towards sites that could allow me to do the aformentioned items?

That's the only one I have ever seen. I have searched for more, but haven't found any.
