Stuck in Island Of the Damned

I need a whistle, but I can't find it. help plz

Snap! I've just got up to the exact same point (end of level 4).

I've explored the island pretty thoroughly, burning every tree; there's one that revealed the wrong sort of 'under combo' -- ie. not a stair -- so hopefully this one wasn't meant to conceal the whistle. Maybe it's hidden in one of the dungeons.

A note to the quest author: there's a magic book in level 3, but I'd already gotten one. Returning from that special item left me stuck behind some blocks with no way to get out or kill myself.

Thanks :) Found the red ring in 4. Even better :) Now I can go back and finish off levels 2 and 3 :)

I got back to the boss room on Level 4 after killing everything but Digdogger, and this time he'd been replaced by one of the other enemies. So you can complete Level 4 without whistle... though now I have no idea where to go next, or where the damn whistle is :banghead:

For those curious, I did find the blue ring in level 2 eventually, but found it much easier to go into level 4 and get the red ring instead. The blue one is in a room filled with blue darknuts. Not fun without a ring :)

Is there anything after level 4? I also have searched and cannot find anything.
