So its been raining all week. And it hasn't stopped. Everything is flooded and muddy, making the daily treks across the base terribly miserable. Good thing its not hot. If I had pictures, noone would believe that I was in Iraq.

Been hearing a lot of gunshots lately, its kind of funny because it'll be all quiet all day, until you go to one point in the base where we keep our vehicles, and then all of the sudden, a firefight from the guard towers. Don't let that worry anyone though, there is a big wall around the perimeter, so I'm perfectly safe. We did a vehicle inspection yesterday while a firefight raged on right on the other side of the wall.

Its really not all that bad honestly. I'm having fun.

Flooded you say? Sounds Biblical. Remember to keep your socks dry, though.

Tony!

Remember, when AK-47's run out of ammo you should hear a distinct "click" as the firing pin springs foward into position after not hitting a shell. Be sure, however, that if you find yourself in such a situation that it is indeed a geniune click and not just the bad guy yelling out the word "click". Be safe.

Come back safe, and don't get too comfortable and let your guard down.
