Okay, I have a AMD Anthlon 3000+ with 1 gig of RAM and a Geforce 4 MX video card where I'm not entirely sure what the onboard card RAM is. So.....what is the best video card out there I can buy and install that is under 120 bucks that will make my Doom 3 go whoosh?

You could always try an nVidia Geforce 6200. :shrug: I think I've seen one with 256mb onboard, and I think they come in both AGP and PCI-Express. I don't know how good they are though.

You are pretty limited by your price tag, as many of the best price/performance cards are in the $200 range.

If you are willing to save up an extra $80, get an nvidia 6600gt. It is worth it, especially if you are into games like doom 3.

I actually saw a 128Mb Geforce 6600GT on newegg for around $185.
