Hello,

I just got Zelda Classic v2.10w and everytime I try to open it I get an error and it shuts off. It is the typical error you get from Windows XP home edition, it says:

"zelda-w.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

then I have the chose of sending error report or not sending.

How can I get ZC to run on my Windows XP Home Edition??

I downloaded the one that is "for dummies" and set the compadibility to Windows 98/ME and it still gives me the same error....

Well where did you download ZC from? www.zeldaclassic.com is the only truly reliable place to download it. :shrug: .. At least besides www.zcnetwork, www.purezc.com .. etc.

maybe some files are missing like the sfx.dat file or something.

yeah, make sure you've d/l from a reliable source, then get the support archive for 2.10;
that might solve your problem
