I just re-downloaded ZC after about three years, and also found some of my old quests. The problem is that when I try to play them, Link can't move at all! I can use cheat codes and enemies can move around, but Link just stands there. The controls work on all the quests that come with the game, so I know the keyboard's not the problem. I even checked them in Zquest, doesn't seem to be anything wrong.

The quests are either from version 1.90 or 1.92 (I think 1.90). Does anyone have any info on this problem?

Thanks!

You need to quit to the "Continue/Save/Retry" screen, then select continue. That should clear it up.

Any quest not made in 2.10 ZC cannot be played with any version newere that v1.92 Beta 183. Therefore, if you download ZC v1.82 Beta 183 you can play any quest made in any version of ZC up to v1.82 Beta 183. Now I'm making no sense at all, so here we go...

ZC Version used to make quest - Player to use
1.00 \
1.84 \
1.90 \ ----- 1.92 Beta183
1.92 Beta163 /
1.92 Beta183 /
1.92 The 184 Player /

2.10 - 2.10

Download the versions you want here:

I would recommend making two folders, one for each player...

also, the "f" key freezes Link when pressed now, but if pressed again, he'll move again,
is that the possible problem?

Not for me, because I had the same problem as the topic maker.

load the quest in the quest editor and make sure it is actually possible to walk on the tiles. Maybe you could try loading them with it and saving it again if everythings fine. And if cheats work check if the walk through walls cheat works because then you will be able to see what the problem is better.

So what I should do is download an older version, and use that to play the old quests, while using the new version to play new/make quests. That sort of makes sense.

I checked the tiles and even tried the No Walls cheat, no luck. And F definately isn't pressed. I'll try downloading the old ZC and see if it works.
