Anyone got any suggestions on how to fix this?
I have windows xp..not sure how to find out what sound drivers/card I have though..
Thanks in adavanced.

You didn't install the MIDI thing that comes with FF7 PC, did you? That may be the cause. It's not needed if you have a wavetable soundcard, which is what most recent cards are.

(EDIT)Hell, you don't even need it with a non-wavetable card, even, because DirectMusic provides a pretty damn good software MIDI device anyway.

Uninstalling FF7 might do it. Then reinstall, without the midi options.

No, that makes it sound like total dog shit.

They raped the music when porting FF VII to PC. It sucks. Live with it.

You can use a patch so ff7 pc runs off anything that winamp can run, such as .minipsf files.

ff7 and XP are like oil and water. You can't get then to mix unless you shake vigorously. I installed a 3rd party patch and things started to run alot smoother for me.
