80's kids - trying to identify a building block set

I was looking through some building block sets online today and it got me thinking about the building block sets i used to have.

I've owned millions of Legos. I've had Construx. I've had knex, Capsela, Bristle Blocks, Tinker Toys.... A few others that I can't remember...

But there's this one kind that I had, it was basically building blocks that screwed together. They had these big plastic "screws" in the middle of each block that you'd turn a 1/4 turn with a flathead screwdriver. The whole thing was made out of plastic. I owned them sometime in the mid-80's and played with them a lot.

I couldn't find any leads online, and i was wondering if any of you recognized them. I drew a picture of the most basic block.

I recognize it. I have some. Have to see if I still have the box.

Those things pissed me off because they would always jiggle around when they weren't connected.

I thought I had an instruction manual, but I can't find it. I'm pretty sure the box is in my mom's garage. I'd probably remember the name, but I kind of avoided using them; I think my aunt gave them to me, and I passed them on to my brother. The sides were pretty cool though.

I've actually gone through that entire list before. It's not on there. I did email the woman who made the list, and asked her about the set. We'll see if she gets back to me.
