Layering

I need help with layering. I know how to set up what screen I want the layers on, but I don't know how to 'draw' what I want on the layer. I'm trying to learn this so I can add rain and other things
that are like that. I click the circle/bubble thing for layer 5 or 4 or something and try to draw the rain and it replaces the ground with the rain.

Okay, It took me FOREVER to figure out layers.... I don't think that any of the tutorials explain it well enough.

Okay, go to the screen you want the rain on. So let us say you want rain on Map1 screen 45. Go Data - Layers on the layer 3 slot you will put in where it FINDS the info for this layer. Let us say Map2 screen 30. You hit done. go to map 2 screen 30, cover it with the black walkable tile, put your rain over that and go back to Map 1 screen 45. TA-DA :) you sould have rain!
